Miniature Shar-Pei of West Virginia

The Miniature Shar-Pei comes in many coat colors. Some of the color descriptions are as follows.

Cream- An "offwhite" color. May have darker shading along the spine.

Red- Mahogany to chestnut red.

Brown- A medium to dark brown color.

Silver- Includes blue, grey, and taupe. A bluish/silverish smokey color.

Fawn- A very light tan/golden color ranging to a dark tan/golden color. Some fawns with dark fawn coats have a pronounced red tinge.

Sable- A lacing of black hair amongst a lighter ground color. Two separate colors- one black and a lighter color, but not white.

Black- True Black.May have a grey, brown or red tinge on the sides.

These are the basic colors, not to mention the dilutes. a dilute has no black pigmentation anywhere on the body. The basic colors are lighter, or diluted.

(This little character is a Blue. There is a Lilac that is even lighter in color that has no black anywhere making it a Dilute.)
